![]() ![]() Posted in galcon2, instantaction | Comments Off on BIG NEWS (again!) – Galcon 2 – Galcon Legends and Party Report Thanks again to everyone who backed Galcon 2! One player stayed over night and got in a personal ride on the Galconicorn the next morning. To wrap up the evening, I launched beta17 and we played until we dropped! It was a great party! Nan made an awesome Galcon cake for the party. But before dinner we still packed in a couple intense games of croquet. When we got back to the Galcon HQ, we took a break for a while. The hike was great and the water was perfect!įollowing lunch we took some time to tour Bishop’s Castle. It was most elegant.Īfter breakfast it was time to meet the Galcon Goats! Everyone pet Cuzco and got to meet Lilly and Nibbles (who were in some of our Kickstarter videos.) Lilly and Nibbles also had kids who were quite friendly with crowd.Īfter that we hit up the natural water slides near San Isabel. Tim and I set up the breakfast table, complete with the day’s program and name plates. The Galcon 2 Party was incredibly fun! Nan and I were there as well as Tim (composer for the previous Galcon games.) Two other brave players made the trek out to Colorado to join in the festivities! Here’s some of the highlights of the day: Go to the Galcon 2 forums and leave some feedback! In Galcon 2, under Mods, enter “path/to/folder/GalconLegends/a”Ħ. Unzip GalconLegends.zip to your computerĤ. Download the Galcon Legends beta from here.ģ. Download the latest Galcon 2 for Windows/Mac/Linux from here.Ģ. So Evan spent the summer using the original artwork and watching YouTube videos of the campaign to re-create it using the Galcon 2 engine!īackers can try out the Galcon Legends beta, by following these steps:ġ. I got in touch with Evan “esparano” Sparano, to ask if he wanted to work with me on more Galcon 2 modding projects. As a result, a few modders began working on Galcon 2 mods. How it all happened: I never planned on having modding in Galcon 2, but the backers asked for it. So yes, that means TWO Galcon games are coming now! The “Galcon 2″ F2P MMO and “Galcon Legends”!! But backers of Galcon 2 will get it as a bonus game because it was built as a direct result of the Kickstarter and your pledges. It will be sold on iPad, Windows/Mac/Linux, probably Android too. This is going to be sold as a paid game separate from Galcon 2. Galcon 2: Galactic Conquest is a primary example of why mobile garbage, mobile devs and the toxic mobile peasants who pay them don't belong anywhere near the PC ecosystem.I’m thrilled to announce the return of the Instant Action Galcon campaign as Galcon Legends! So what happens is because mobile peasants paying heaps of money for this garbage, if you try to play this you'll be assaulted with racist, misogynistic, vulgar hate speech that the developers support and endorse (because their revenue model relies on providing a service platform so they can get paid to broadcast this hate speech). You even need to pay them money to chat to other gamers in the game. The developers have their hands out for every kind of microtransaction imaginable. The mobile app monetisation cancer here is severe and metastatic. ![]() This flimsy premise and even worse delivery makes this completely unrecommendable as a PC game. Strategy is mostly irrelevant beyond selecting fairly obvious targets to tap on, which just makes this a game of "how fast can you tap your iPhone screen". Luck supersedes skill as RNG determines your placement. Like any mobile app garbage dumped on PC, this has no merit or value as a PC game, being a shallow, 2D, weak gameplay experience of screen tapping and watching numbers lameley fly around. Why this version of electronic whack-a-mole would be of interest to gamers is a mystery, but mobile peasants sure seem to like it. The objective is to tap your phone screen faster than your opponents. Gameplay consists of tapping on various nodes on the map to send your troops there. ![]() It's a multiplayer only PvP mobile screen tapper based on the same mechanism used in the original Galcon and dozens of other samey low effort "strategy" games. Galcon 2: Galactic Conquest is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a typical garbage mobile cash grab by greedy mobile devs. ![]()
